Israeli designers Eido Gat and Ziv Schneider from the Shenkar College of Engineering and Design won the Wolda Talent awards for a re-branding project of the palestinian city Hebron.
Logo name: The New Al-Khaleil CityHebron is a Palestinian city in need of change and revival. It is under constant struggle to keep its businesses alive and its inhabitants safe against the illigal settlements. To accomplish this, the city was re-branded under its Palestinian name as “The New Al-Khaleil”, and given a new corporate branding designed to attract investors from other Arab countries (using mostly a convention – Investors Forum 2010). It is built on values of modern day high-tech while staying loyal to Muslim tradition. The city’s new logo became the graphical basis for the city’s core businesses and institutions.
