This exhibition presents the body of work of Juany and Talia, a mother and daughter, both of whom are designers. They do not work together, at least not explicitly or consciously, but the connection between their works is evident in the technique, language and devotion to material. At times the boundaries are blurred and the process of one seems to develop into the project of the other. At other times, it is possible to see how the difference in age influences their adoption of different technical and technological approaches, which have implications on the rate of production, the durability of the product, and its contemporaneity on one hand and retrospectivity on the other.
The field of occupational genetics relates to professional tendencies and personal traits of activity which often run through generations. The exhibition will examine how professional inheritance and the genetic-creative urge are expressed in the work of Juany and Talia, who are part of a multi-generational family of artists.
